About
The Show
Ever wondered what it was like to get tattooed? Want to know if those tattoo TV shows are more drama than reality? How does Tattoo Laser Removal work? Should I buy my own Tattoo Kit so I can tattoo my friends for fun? What exactly is cross contamination? How many people have miss-spelled tattoos? Whats the worst part of the body to get tattooed.....pain-wise? Looking for tattoo advice or how to find the right artist can be extremely difficult! The Tattoo Hotline is here for you!! This isn’t just another tattoo artist podcast and heres why:
The tattoo experience has become a huge topic of conversation. However, there are very few factually based research supported resources out there for the every day collector or budding tattoo artist. The tattoo experience can range from amazing life altering interactions, to silly and ridiculous, to regretful and sometimes dangerous results. There are plenty of tattoo shows, Reddit posts, and memes that just barely scratch the surface of true tattoo culture and community. In fact, they often times spread false information or give people unrealistic expectations.

This podcast will encourage artist,
clients, and potential apprentices to call in with questions and experiences. However, we aren’t just looking for interesting stories to share, we want to break down those experiences! We want to answer questions and give advice by pulling the facts from the fiction. In order to build a stronger more inclusive community and a better understanding about the sensation that has swept up a generation, we need a reliable source for artists and collectors. Let’s not just focus on how tattooing used to be…but where is it going? How do we build safer spaces for everyone?

The Tattoo Hotline put together by Teresa Sharpe and Gia Rose. Both formidable artists with 40 years of collective experience in the tattoo industry. Between the two of them they have been through it all. It’s time we had a true source of information that comes from experience in the industry as well as scientific facts about the actual tattoo process! Together they have an endless stash of fun, hilarious, horrible, scary, and even touching stories to share.

Let’s live laugh and love together through shared moments that we can break down and discuss, or laugh and learn from.
Topics will be posted prior to recording and calls will be recorded to replay during the podcast. Research will be conducted to make sure accurate facts and science are represented on subjects involving the process of tattooing and aftercare. Anyone is invited to participate.
